Taylor Jo Doherty was an amazing and beautiful young woman. Taylor was an amazing daughter, sister, friend,and student. Taylor's love for her and friends and family was so deep that everyone's problems outweighed her own. She had a heart so big that she treated everyone like they mattered and she had room in her heart for everyone.
Sadly behind Taylor's beautiful smile and amazing personality Taylor was fighting a battle within herself mentally, a battle with depression. Although Taylor was receiving treatment for her depression and was on medication at the time Taylor's condition only worsened. It worsened to the point that Taylor's only means of finding the mental peace that she so longed for was to leave this world behind.
On March 8, 2007 just one week before her 15th birthday Taylor went to school like she usually did every morning and went about her day as normal. Later that morning Taylor left school, text messaged all of her friends goodbye, went to a nearby field, and shot herself.

Her heart was so big, that when it ached, it was simply unbearable. Taylor's pain was unimaginable, for only that would prompt her to create for us such unimaginable pain.
I think she just finally got to a point where the pain of holding on was greater than the fear of letting go. And so she let go and she let God sweep her up in His everlasting peace
In the 14th chapter of John Jesus says:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you; but not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid".
I believe Taylor finally knows this peace-this peace of God surpasses all understanding.I believe that she wishes for all of us this same peace:So let not your hearts be troubled.

Dear Doherty Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences in the loss of your precious,special, uniquely gifted daughter. I know from the many losses I have suffered over the past few years, just how difficult it can be to come to -- feel your way through each day. It is as though you're walking through a thick, heavy, fog, that seems at times as if it will never lift.
For me, it happened on August 16th,2009. two days after my mothers' birthday. I received a call from the Hosptal saying my mom was re-admitted in an unresponsive,hypoxic,and obtunted state,and they did not expect her to survive. they needed to know if I wanted toobey her wishes and "let " her go or continue on trying to resusitate her?
To this day I can't bring myself to say the word d e a d- I doubt I ever willwhen it comes to my mum. KEEP THE FAITH ! TAYLOR IS WAITING FOR YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE ! I KNOW CUZ THAT'S WHERE MY FAMILY IS TOO!ALL PEOPLE WITH BIG HEARTS FULL OF LOVE GO TO HEAVEN-- PEACE BE WITHE YOU ALWAYS
